Dave Sheehan's song, "Miss New Orleans" has been named "Track Of The Week" in the genre Folk on GarageBand.com, for the week of November 5-11. It was featured last month as "Track Of The Week" in the genre Americana. The track currently has a 5-star rating and is #18 on the site's Americana chart and #49 on the site's folk chart.

We are excited to announce that Dave Sheehan's song "Miss New Orleans"
will be GarageBand.com's featured "Americana Track-Of-The-Week" from
(today) October 8 through October 14, 2007. It is currently ranked
#23 on the Americana chart and #54 on the Folk chart, and has been
featured as "Track-Of-The-Day" in both those genres. Over the past few
months of reviews on the site, the track has received numerous awards,

to-date have been featured as Track-of-the-day, but until now, none
has received the Track-of-the-week honor. The songs currently range
from 3.5 to 4.6 on the 5-star rating scale.

Dave Sheehan's Summer Flowers Hits #14 On Euro-Americana Chart!

So far, the album has appeared on the radio in at least 10 countries,
with no fewer than 10 of the 14 tracks having been aired. It has
received very good press in the US and Europe, and was chosen as the
5th best album of 2006 by François (Swa) Braeken of Rootstime
(Belgium). And now it has made its chart debut, at #14, sandwiched
between Tom & Jerry (Tom Waits & Jerry Lee Lewis, that is--not the
cartoon cat & mouse duo!). Thanks to all of you for your interest and

Reviews of 'Summer Flowers' are beginning to appear, and so far they
are very positive!! Please read on:

The first review, from a publication in Belgium, still awaits
translation from Dutch to English (my translator is presently
demanding too much money for a flattering interpretation--I'm
kidding!). But I WAS able to see that the reviewer gave it 4 out of 5
stars! Of course, for all I know, the Dutch rating system is reversed:
Zero--you're a hero, and five stars gets you stoned to death. Still,
I'm confident that 4 is good. At the very least, I don't think I'll
be stoned to death...

The second comes from the UK (I haven't bothered to translate it into
'merican) and is quoted here:

"Easy vocals and slick instrumentation...combine with a winning
lyrical talent...he produces a honeyed blanket of countryesque folk
that harks back to numerous string driven combos such as The Nitty
Gritty Dirt Band and permutations of the Holy Modal Rounders/ Jeffrey
Fredericks jug band sound...Nice laid back set capturing that folky
American vibe...well worth checking out if you like that slightly
mysterious cloud swirled rain soaked sitting around the stove type

Dave Sheehan's Summer Flowers is getting significant airplay on internet and broadcast radio staions in The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and some in the U.S., U.K., Spain, France and Italy!

The first official review of the record (from a Dutch language publication in Belgium) gave it 4 out of 5 stars! It hasn't been translated into English yet, but I will post it (in both languages) soon. There are several more reviews coming, and I will post them as they arrive.
I'm very excited to have the record getting out there, and receiving very positive initial reviews! Thanks to everyone who has helped to make it happen!
